The New Faces a photographic exhibition by Dean Chalkley

The New Faces is a photographic exhibition, a depiction of eight young ‘Modernists’ who are the latest inheritors of the mod tradition that’s rooted in the 1960’s. They are bound together by their shared passion for smart dressing and great dancing and R’n’B.

The exhibition can be seen at The Book Club, 100 - 106 Leonard Street, London EC2A 4RH, from Thursday 4th March until 29th April 2010

Moby ‘Wait For Me’ by Jessica Dimmock

Jessica Dimmock on her film for ‘Wait For Me’:

“When approached about doing the video for Wait For Me, we were most interested in climbing inside a moment in someone’s life. We have long been interested in the experience of loneliness, and what happens when you feel the necessity to leave. We were motivated by the emotional landscape that unfolds when you stay within such a small and intimate narrative. In keeping with the DIY spirit of Moby’s album, we decided to limit the collaboration to ourselves and our subject.”

Jessica Dimmock is an award winning documentary photojournalist based in NYC. Her main body of work, The Ninth Floor, has documented the lives of a group of young heroin users over the course of several years.

2006 Jessica Dimmock received the Inge Morath Award from Magnum Photos and the F Award, from Fabrica Forma Fotografia.
