DON McCULLIN - “The Impossible Peace”
This exhibition at C/O Berlin presents over 160 images from 1958 to 2008.
Don McCullin has travelled the world, capturing raw, powerful images of war, famine and disaster. McCullin has documented everything from civil unrest and ecological disasters to quotidian moments in British society and the “lost tribes” of southern Ethiopia.
C/O Berlin präsentiert erstmals in Berlin Arbeiten aus dem Gesamtwerk von Don McCullin.
Die Retrospektive mit dem Titel “The Impossible Peace” ist noch bis zum 28. Februar 2010 zu sehen.

Werkschau II des Fotografen Andreas Mühe

The exhibited portraits - reduced to and focused on the essentials with very special light and colours. - show artists and actors like Markus Luepertz, Jonas Burgert, Daniel Bruehl, or Hannah Herzsprung but also writers or politicians such as German Chancellor Angela Merkel or George Bush, Helmut Kohl and Michail Gorbatschow
Seit den 23.Januar ist die Werksschau mit Arbeiten des Photographen Andreas Mühe in der renommierten Galerie Camera Work in Charlottenburg/Berlin zu sehen.
Als Kurator zeichnet Hamburgs Foto-Altmeister F.C. Gundlach verantwortlich.
F. C. Gundlach:
„Andreas Mühe geht sowohl mit Licht als auch mit der Farbe sehr reduziert um, Grau ist eine große beherrschende Farbe in all diesen Bildern und die Porträts sind von einer realistischen Präsenz, dass man die Köpfe fast anfassen könnte und das finde ich sehr gut.“
